An Inspiring Event
The event served as a space for reflection on current challenges surrounding innovation, highlighting the importance of continuous learning and the ability to turn mistakes into opportunities.
Emphasis was placed on how shared ideas can become a driving force for transformation, fostering a more open and resilient organizational culture. The main goal was to bring companies, institutions, and individuals closer together, creating synergies that allow innovation to grow in a sustainable and collaborative way.
During the gathering, the proposal for the Mobility Innovation Hub was presented—an initiative aimed at strengthening innovation in the mobility sector. The Government of Aragón (DGA) also expressed its commitment to bringing innovation closer to both large companies and SMEs and start-ups.
The event welcomed around 400 participants, reflecting both the interest in and the need for spaces that promote shared innovation as a key driver of economic and social transformation.
Key Topics Addressed
During the event, Rosa Siles—a renowned expert in innovative leadership—shared essential insights for activating innovation within organizations. Her talk highlighted a concerning reality: 80% of companies do not consider themselves innovative, as they view innovation as something distant or disconnected from their daily operations. In response to this mindset, Siles proposed a clear and accessible approach based on several fundamental principles.
First, she emphasized the importance of balancing the exploration of new ideas with the exploitation of what already works. Organizations must combine exploration and execution, as this mix enables innovation without losing operational focus.
She also placed strong emphasis on people. “Creating value is done with people,” she stated, noting that leadership means mobilizing collective energy. Listening and connecting are essential actions of innovative leadership. In this context, challenging teams and pushing them forward helps cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and shared ambition.
Likewise, she reminded the audience that innovation means listening broadly—to the team, the customer, and the environment. This active listening is the foundation for spotting opportunities and anticipating change.
Network-building is equally critical, as it underlines the need to weave strategic alliances across organizations and sectors to strengthen both teams and projects.
The event also showcased inspiring cases of collaboration between start-ups and established companies, demonstrating how innovation emerges when experience is combined with fresh perspectives. These alliances showed that disruptive solutions are possible when isolation is broken and open collaboration is embraced.
The day also featured the presentation of several emerging start-ups and concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing the most outstanding projects, closing with a clear message: innovation is possible—when people, networks, and the shared commitment to move forward are placed at the center.
