Innovation is the driving force behind the growth and resilience of any region. In Aragón, this driving force is especially relevant at a time when change and adaptation are essential to tackle global challenges and boost local development. Building a strong and collaborative innovation system is key to positioning Aragón as a leader in research and development, capable of generating impact across its communities, from urban centers to rural areas.
With this vision in mind, the 2nd Meeting of the Aragón R&D&I System, organized by Aragón Innohub in Huesca, provided a space to establish a shared roadmap and strengthen the innovation ecosystem in the region. The event brought together key players from the sector, including researchers, entrepreneurs, and government representatives, all sharing a common goal: to build collaborative networks that drive talent, technology, and sustainable growth in Aragón.
Fostering Networks and Collaborative Projects
During the meeting, participants emphasized the need to build lasting networks and highlighted the importance of collaboration in tackling the challenges of innovation. In this context, the creation of a new innovation office was announced, along with several future projects aimed at consolidating Aragón’s role as a leader in R&D&I.
The second part of the day focused on identifying unrepresented actors in the R&D&I ecosystem and analyzing existing challenges and opportunities. The conclusions from these discussions will be integrated into Aragón’s innovation plan, providing a more comprehensive and diverse vision of the sector’s needs and potential.
BIOLOC and the Importance of Collaborative Innovation
The BIOLOC project, with CIRCE’s participation, was present at the event, bringing its expertise in collaboration and sustainable development. BIOLOC contributed to discussions on how an inclusive and well-connected innovation ecosystem can benefit rural communities, aligning with its mission to revitalize local areas through innovation and sustainability.
This second Aragón Innohub meeting reaffirms Aragón’s commitment to a future of inclusive innovation, where cross-sector collaboration is key to overcoming the challenges of tomorrow.
